Week 1 (of 9)

This is week one of nine before the 10 kl. We have started wogging, with the jog 1 and walk 2 (1-2). It is going good, we do the 1-2 at least 3 times a week and walk 2-3 times a week. We are doing the River wog on Thursday. It is nice to go with all three of us, we have such a nice time together and these ladies know how to push me, but in a really nice way. I'm not one that is very competative but I do like to beat myself and I think they are the same so we aren't fighting for first place amoung ourselves just with ourself. All in all we are a great fit. I am aware that I am the weakest link in this lovely group but that is changing quickly. Right now I'm aiming for the best weakest link that I can be and not to make excuses but they are both more than 10 years younger than me. I know they will both say I'm doing great (for an old person) but I just want them to know that I appreciate everything that they are doing for me, by slowing down a bit when I get tired or laughing at me if I think I can beat a light and run in out in front of traffic. (he did stop though didn't he). These ladies are gems and whenever I do a better time or jog a longer distance a little bit of the credit is owed to them. Thanks Ladies. Dakota aka Ozzie thanks you too, I will weigh him and get pictures posted for Sue (he is really her dog) to show her how well I am taking care of him until she comes back!

Hey speedy!!

You are doing great I am really proud of you!!

There is no way you can be anyone's weekest link believe me I know.
We are averaging at 35 mins for 5km at the moment but will try at step it up nearer to Gerry's run (June) this is just walking though not wogging like my shrinking friend!!
Keep going you are putting me to shame!!

Speedy, I love it! We are doing the river walk tonight as I have company coming tomorrow so will get in at least one river and maybe again on Sunday. It is such a nice walk. Well wog not walk. Hope to have you guys back soon and take you out to the river, the only bad thing is Dakota can't come cause he gets car sickness, but he is getting himself out for enough walks each week.

Go to a health food shop and get him some ginger, tell them it is for a dog, it works wounders for Cariad!!
They are pills and just add to the food.

Dakota doesn't do pills very well, when we go see the kids we give him gravol and I literally shove it down his throat. I have tried hiding it in his food, he picks it out, I tried soaking in bacon grease (it's a small pill the grease won't harm him) he sucked off the grease and spit out the pill. I'm no match for a Smart Dog!

He can't help having a delicate tum!!

That he does! He is anxiously waiting your next visit, he needs his lap to sit in. He misses being adored, it's not the same without you and Dave. I'm quoting him you know.
