Increased the Run

We are now doing 5km, will do this for a couple of weeks and then increase 2 days to 7km until we can run the entire 5km then will increase all days to 7km. Megan found a new run but it is wet and muddy, yuck. I'm sure if it stops raining for a while here it won't be wet and muddy, so please stop raining. It is a nice run otherwise, through some nice walking paths and it comes out at the edge of town. Dakota likes it cause he can be off leash for the path part, but he still plays the protector, he walks up about 10 yards in front then checks it out and then looks at us as if to say "OK it's safe, come on", this continues the entire time he is off leash. On leash for the jog he is training to run on my right side, right on my right side, Lori you'll appreciate this! No more in front, or in the way. We bought a different leash that is for running only and it clips to my water bottle belt and it is short, so he has to stay right beside me on the right. It was hard at first but he seems to be getting it, when we are out for a walk he still can go on his long leash, although I may do away with it altogether so as not to confuse him. Tomorrow Kyle works days so we will have to start by 5:30am I love it!

Oh my god you are actually stating that you like 5.30am!!
Never thought I would hear you say that, can still remember knocking your door at 6.30am for a walk and the answer I got!!

The difference is VACATION! I don't have to be up to work so I sleep, actually I usually don't even use the alarm for days I work I think mentally I just know I have to get up so I do. Sometimes I sleep in but only if I am up late and by late I mean anything past 10pm, what a dork, I know!

Meg has promised me yesterday that today we will jog in the evening, I made her swear! Thank Goodness because last night Saskatchewan's football team was playing and it seemed like we were the only ones who could get the game on TV, so we had company until 11pm and still they lost, but what a game! Even I enjoyed it. Needless to say 5:30 was not in the picture for me so I am glad Meg said evening!!!!

Hello Laurie: My name is Bryan Wood and I am a coach with the Nova Scotia Joints in Motion Team. My wife Cathy and I hope to see you in Trieste as part of the Joints in Motion Team Canada. We just had an awesome experience with JIM in Edinburgh and met your coordinator Tracey there. She is awesome and I think your efforts are brilliant. I'm not sure I want to see you bald but if that's what it takes to make your goal...go for it girl! Cheers

See you are impressing everyone!!

I am so proud of you, 20 more day's and then I can say it to your face!!

I am trying to get a few 5k's in here before I come out to Canada, so won't spoil your training, maybe I just take my dog and let you and Meg go,
I am sure he will guide me back!!

Your dog would love that, he likes the jogging but prefers the walking leash. I would still come with you because you still can probably walk faster than me, hopefully I can match distances now! I am waiting for Mrs. Meg right now as we are heading out for a run. She won't do 5:30 to often but I have her coming at 6:30 so that's not to bad.
