Snow but nice here!

Well sorry to report Sue but we have had a little snow but they are calling of a temp of 0 today, the only bad thing is that tonight there is a weather watch as it has been so nice they are worried about freezing rain which makes for BAD driving conditions.
We are getting ready to go do the 9km, we will likely just do 10km since we know that route and next Sunday is 10km anyway so might as well get ready! Going to do some research regarding taking Dakota with me as someone told me 10km will be too hard on his joints, but now someone else told it isn't. So I will look it up myself, if anyone else wants to weigh in his is a medium to small overweight dog with short legs. He loves to come with us when we walk! Will go now so I can get ready and beat the freezing rain, not much good to walk on either!

OMG Way to go Girl! What is your opinion on Dakota, we have been doing the 5km twice so we take him on the first round then drop him and continue on the second round. I don't want to hurt his joints and now I'm scared to walk him to much...so for right now it will be 5km for him.

I don't know really, I know when I have taken Cariad further than 5km she paid for it the next day and hobbled on 3 legs and on one occasion when we walked all 3 dogs to the lakes and back I landed up carrying her the last bit and she is about Dakota's size.

You know him batter than anyone

Well he never seems worst for ware the next day, but I do notice that at about the 5km mark his head drops a bit and his walking seems more laboured, but not so much pain as tired. Maybe I'll keep him at around 5km for the winter and work him up for the summer to around 8 and sometimes 10
